Video footage of Donald Trump's hair blowing in the wind has fuelled speculation surrounding the president's hair loss.

The clip, uploaded to YouTube on Monday, shows the US president boarding Air Force One, saluting troops before climbing aboard.

A huge gust of wind whips up and appears to reveal the extent of the US president's hair loss as it exposes his balding scalp.

The president has repeatedly had to deny allegations that he wears a wig, although his recent medical examination confirmed he takes pills to prevent hair loss.

The video, initially shared by Huffington Post journalist Ashley Feinberg, has been watched more than 40,000 times in three days.

Although some suggested the video might be fake, photos taken at the scene on the same day seem to confirm its authenticity.

The clip prompted discussion on social media, with one commentator calling Mr Trump "super-bald on the back of his head".

"That comb over must be the biggest ever, period. Even his full head of hair is a lie."

The president caused controversy recently when he ordered the Pentagon to plan a grand military parade which would see soldiers marching and tanks rolling through Washington.

Mr Trump reportedly decided to stage an elaborate show of strength after being inspired by the Bastille Day celebrations in France.

But the move was swiftly criticised in the US, with one veterans association branding the parade “another worrisome example” of his “authoritarian tendencies”.
