Tim Sherwood has mocked Arsenal ahead of their clash with Tottenham by putting all Spurs playing in his north London derby combined XI.

Unai Emery’s side are unbeaten in 18 games heading into their fixture against Maurizio Pochettino’s side at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

But Sherwood believes not one of Emery’s players would be good enough to feature in a fantasy XI made up of both teams.

The former Spurs boss revealed his controversial combined XI to Sky Sports and admitted that only Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang came close to winning a place in his side.

‘I didn’t worry about Arsenal too much,’ Sherwood told Sky Sports The Debate.

‘I tried to look everywhere but I just couldn’t find any room for any Arsenal players. I’m not being biased but I just couldn’t.

‘On his day, [Mesut] Ozil gets into any side but he doesn’t have enough of those good days.

‘Even the most hardened Arsenal fans cannot disagree. Hand on heart I tried to get in [Pierre-Emerick] Aubamayang maybe but at the moment I couldn’t fit anyone in.

‘I think Dier has to play because it gives the team leeway to play three at the back.

‘I honestly believe that is the best fit and available combined team.

‘For me it will be a shock if Arsenal beat Tottenham on Sunday.’
