Navržený postup výuky využívá různé prameny poznání, které představy žáků konfrontují s empirickými důkazy a tím přispívají k vyšší efektivitě učení.

Abstract (EN): Pedagogical constructivism and its possible application in the teaching of geography. Constructivism is a stream of theories in education that deliberately works with children’s conceptions and tries to modify them in the right direction. The aim of this article is to critically evaluate the use of constructivism in the teaching of geography at elementary schools and subsequently to propose a teaching procedure based on an example of regional geography with respect to the basic ideas of constructivism. The proposed teaching process uses various sources of knowledge to confront childrens’ conceptions with and thus make learning more effective.
